Are you looking for the best place to spend New Year's Eve? Well, Central World will be very crowded on New Year's eve and of course it is well known for counting down but trust me, Asiatique The Riverfront will give you a unique and more relaxing riverside atmosphere =) Asiatique is also a great place for tourists who like to buy local brand feature like Naraya and BKK bag. We took a taxi ( not recommended ) to there. New Year's Eve is the busiest night of the year for taxis and uber, plus the roads leading to Asiatique tend to have heavyyyy traffic jams. You can get there via the BTS and ferry shuttle. Take the BTS to Saphan Taksin and jump on the free shuttle at the end of the pier. That's the easiest and cheapest way to get there =D
A huge ferris wheel ( Asiatique's icon ferris wheel with 42 gondolas ) is very shine and bright which capture our attraction. We spent 300baht for each person on the ''Asiatique sky''.
You can see the stunning city lights of Bangkok city, and several cruise ships passing by the river.
Life is like a Ferris wheel. You have to get past your fear to enjoy the view =)
There are lot of activities to do including foot massages, fish spa and rides ... etc.
Finally tried this Thai classic.. Mango sticky rice! Yumzz
We only spent about 2 hours there and that was enough.Overall this is a nice area to walk around with stalls, boutique shops and restaurants. P/S: Beware of pickpockets.
