Like many others around the world, COVID-19 indeed had an impact on our country ( Malaysia ). During this challenging time, the number of people losing their job have increased, some employers are beginning to cut salaries ... etc. This is a situation where I think the economies can be under performing for some time =(
The COVID-19 taught me the important money lesson. It's SOOOO important because we can't predict future. Saving money for emergency fund can protect you in the event of a financial emergency. And your emergency fund should contain enough money to cover at least 3 months of expenses.
During this difficult time, don't be addicted to spending money. Always keep this sentences in your mind --- need is logical and want is emotional, so BUY WHAT YOU NEED, NOT WHAT YOU WANT. Don't spend money on anything that is non-essential and always remember to get your budget under control. Good luck!
Every girl dreams of her wedding at some point in life. I always say I'm not going to get married, but somehow the idea of getting married was occasionally present =) Probably in someday I will acquiesce and settle down. I don't want a fancy wedding because I don't want to spent a bunch of money for the ceremony. My dream wedding is very simple, with a beautiful white flowing crystals sewn dress.Less than 50 guests. Just some closet friends and relatives XD Somewhere outside with nature... ( PreferablyHaven maybe XD ) and all the food will be dessert buffet. Basically, three words to describe, natural, tasteful and simple.
Money is something very personal and a sensitive topic. I personally don't like to have any money issue with friends because I don't want any conflicts between our friendship over money. But I actually don't mind lending money to others if I have the ability BUT it depends on the situation and whom I lend to. *ONLY IF* it comes down to a close friend, that really really really needing money for something important konon, I will consider and reconsider carefully before lending him/her the money.
For an example there is a friend of mine who constantly borrows RM50-RM200++ from different people and she's borrowed RM50 ( a few times ) from me as well. *I find money borrowers get into the habit of constantly borrowing money with different people* Well, I have never seen her return any of the money I lent her even after she gets married. Now no one lends her even a dime because we all knew that she never ever pays anyone back but yet she takes all her money and invest on her other half. So the moral of this story is: Don't get yourself in a state of constant lending.
A few months ago one of my friend lost his job and he asked me if he could borrow money. I feel pity for him and I said yes since it's not large amounts of money. BUT It's been 5 months now since this happened and I still haven't had any of the money back. This is starting to annoy me because he's been making this promise for months and I'm starting to get a bit dubious as to whether I will get the money. It can be difficult to *TAGIH HUTANG* from a friend ... Ehh, I care about your feeling and I don't want you to feel awkward. And please ... DON'T TAKE MY KINDNESS FOR GRANTED!!! You should only borrow money if you absolutely need it for survival, NOT for the stupidest reasons like spending money on dates or buying material things!!! Where the hell do YOU develop these attitudes from??? Don't be surprise I make up an excuse the next time when you asking for my help. Seriously, I work hard to earn money and I have the right to say yes or no to the YOU without a guilt. kthxbye!!!
Both of you need to be in your limits... If the flirting is one sided, the other person might feel uncomfortable which could lead to drifting apart and probably spoil the friendship.
Here are 2 points to remember:
Know where to draw the line.
Don't get excited by the things he/she says during the conversation as it's just a jolly conversation between 'FRIEND'
The issue of dog catching in Msia has become somewhat of a hot topic. I once experienced seeing the DXKK people catching stray dogs and that moment was heart-breaking. Nobody really knows what happens to the stray dogs after they’re caught by dog catcher...They really left the dogs in jungle/hill? Or put them in sleep? Or bury them alive? T_T
There have be a lottt of traditions for CNY, friends&family re-unions, distributing and receiving ang pow, lion dance performance and gamble!!! It is very common to see the Chinese gamble during CNY, even for those who do not normally gamble =P Oh ya! Beware of the blood-provoking questions asked by your friends/relatives lol.
Typical question --- When are you getting married? Urghh Chinese culture! Grrr~ I hate this question! In my experience, if it’s asked by a close friend or relatives, and they’re asking it with concern and listen to my response respectfully, that’s fine. I will respond them cheerfully and make some vague statement. But if being asked by distant relatives or random friends, my typical response is remain silent and smile XD It gets really awkward after that =X I knew someday the question will transforms into another one like... when are you having kids? =.=
There was a joke popular once.
At every family marriage he attended, Jack's 'concerned' elderly aunts and uncles would come up to him, nudge him and tell "Hey! You're next!!". This came to a stop when at a family funeral, Jack walked up to them, nudged them and said "Hey! You're next!!"
P/S: I’m already in a committed relationship and marriage has never been a huge rush for me =)
'' We all have dreams. But in order to make dreams come into reality, it takes an awful lot of determination, dedication, self-discipline, and effort." - Jesse Owens
Somehow I like to imagine the ''feel'' of happiness with proudness. It felt really good for a while... basking in all the success, appreciation BUT after a while it fades away and I feel an emptiness....
Is it possible to make your dreams come true if you do not have money? Seriously yes!!! A lot can be done with that. You can learn the skills thru internet and grow your dreams, for low or no cost at all. Never ever give up on your dream because you don’t have money.
I ... feel like I have nothing to talk about today. Sometimes you might feel the same way right? So what do you do when you don't feel like talking? For me, kinda like right now, I just sit down and start writing...( typing actually ). I've been asked frequently ''Why do u blog ar?'' ''U blogging for fun or for payoff ar?'' Ehem, I know most people are blogging for fun rather than for pro reasons, and most just want to share their life experiences. =) For me, it’s about the thoughts and stories that I went thru, some involving food, movie and great place to be visit, but not always. Getting ''traffic'' is a goal for a lot of people, but for me that’s really not something I focus on. There’s an old saying that says “If u keep ur eyes on the future, u can’t see the present.” I love ''telling'' stories with pictures ( making a photo essay XD ) whether is my own photos or pictures I downloaded from web. Remember the previous time I said that I blog because I want to capture the memories I go thru in my life? If you haven't read or can't remember, here's my post on it. http://minzimandy915.blogspot.my/2015/08/why-do-i-blog.htmlI blog whatever I feel I like and I write reviews because I like to share my opinion about the certain topic. Recently I have noticed that one of my post ( pageviews ) hits 2k++. That's the most I've received in a month+ This post really keeping readers attention eh. First and foremost, thanks for clicking my blog and check out my post where I review about the movie. *wink*
Idk why do so many friends break-up/divorce so much these days? After not being compatible for a period of timing they realize they were not meant to be together, and end up with break-up/divorce. Love tends to become fragile! tsk tsk tsk
e.g 1,
A have been in a relationship for 5 years to a B, who she considered to be a real sweet and gentle guy. However, A was unhappy about their financial arrangement. A was the one who paid all the expenses and B seemed to be forever getting them further into debt. A was stressed and miserable and saw break up is her only way out of the financial strain she was under.
Don't take your significant other for granted!! Your partner is not your gold-digger. Once you start taking her for granted, the relationship becomes dull. Don't always rely entirely on your significant other for financial support. Just DON'T!!
e.g 2,
A's boyfriend broke up with her for no reason at all. B came over and told A the relationship weren't working out and they weren't meant to be together. Everything seemed fine. They barely ever fought. When A asked him if everything was okay, B insisted that everything was fine and told A she's too good for him and ... starts ignoring her.
Oh lame lame lame!!! What a lame excuse! It's just a lame way for him to try to dump you nicely. This makes absolutely no sense huh. This kind of guy is immature and too selfish. He is just giving this excuse because he knows it sounds nice and not harm, and he doesn't want to hurt your feelings. Remember someone isn’t going to dump you if what they really want is to be with you.
e.g 3,
A bored with her marriage and she wants her life to be different. She had dreams, visions and plans for the future before marriage but now she feels those dreams diminishing. If money wasn't an object, A would consider divorce.
I think you are too young to consider marriage. You want the divorce, but you're not sure if it is the right decision? Since going thru a divorce will impacts your life. Oh woman! Seriously what did you see in each other when you met? Find that spark and get it back! Successful marriages go thru peaks and troughs.
Many people expect their significant other to know instinctively that they are not happy with them. But problem is their significant other have no idea what they did wrong. My advice is if you are not happy with the way your significant other is treating you, you need to tell her/him clearly. Don’t expect her/him know what's bothering you. Being in a relationship is hard work, sometimes harder than the regular job. Communication is key no matter what the issue and you both got to learn to compromise. Remember, relationship takes time, effort, and maturity.
Thoughts are destroying me, eating me from inside..You may think I am a bit over-dramatic but I'm not. I used to play out a narrative in my head 24/7 and so much of it was...negative... I would get so caught up in thoughts about bad things and my mood would be spoiled and... I’d be pissed off. It’s been almost entirely due to my inability to control my thoughts...
I wonder how many are you ever been stuck overthinking something that happened or something you think will happen...?
Seriously I miss being a child because I miss the simplicity of life like I didn't have to worry about anything. I can do something weird for fun like talking to the bears because I was convinced they were a part of me and peoples won't stare at me and question my sanity. I miss falling asleep on the sofa and waking up on my comfy bed. I miss asking adults questions, and thinking that they have all the answers. How silly I was huh? When I was a kid I made kites out of garbage bags, play games such as hide and seek. My most fond memories were going to park and play on the swings =D No doubt that childhood period is the golden period of whole life. My childhood wasn't so blissful but i'm grateful, I wish I'd never grown up... =,)
Once I was seven years old, my mama told me,
"Go make yourself some friends or you'll be lonely."
Once I was seven years old
It was a big big world, but we thought we were bigger
Pushing each other to the limits, we were learning quicker
By eleven smoking herb and drinking burning liquor
Never rich so we were out to make that steady figure
Once I was eleven years old, my daddy told me,
"Go get yourself a wife or you'll be lonely."
Once I was eleven years old
I always had that dream, like my daddy before me
So I started writing songs, I started writing stories
Something about that glory just always seemed to bore me
'Cause only those I really love will ever really know me
Once I was twenty years old, my story got told
Before the morning sun, when life was lonely
Once I was twenty years old
I only see my goals, I don't believe in failure
'Cause I know the smallest voices, they can make it major
I got my boys with me, at least those in favor
And if we don't meet before I leave, I hope I'll see you later
Once I was twenty years old, my story got told
I was writing about everything I saw before me
Once I was twenty years old
Soon we'll be thirty years old, our songs have been sold
We've traveled around the world and we're still roaming
Soon we'll be thirty years old
I'm still learning about life
My woman brought children for me
So I can sing them all my songs
And I can tell them stories
Most of my boys are with me
Some are still out seeking glory
And some I had to leave behind
My brother, I'm still sorry
Soon I'll be sixty years old, my daddy got sixty-one
Remember life, and then your life becomes a better one
I made a man so happy when I wrote a letter once
I hope my children come and visit once or twice a month
Soon I'll be sixty years old, will I think the world is cold
Or will I have a lot of children who can warm me?
Soon I'll be sixty years old
Soon I'll be sixty years old, will I think the world is cold
Or will I have a lot of children who can warm me?
Soon I'll be sixty years old
Once I was seven years old, my mama told me,
"Go make yourself some friends or you'll be lonely."
Self absorbed people only think about what makes them feel good at the moment - they don't have any respect or regard for anyone else.
People who are selfish are always thinking that their way of living life is best and whoever tries to give them advice is just trying to harm him/her or has hidden motives. ( #ps: don'ttttt get toooooo negative ) You don't trust all of the criticism that comes your way BUT if you think clearly, you might realized that a lot of people are telling you the same thing, right?Learn to listen to people, to weigh the pros and cons of any situation.
Don't be the person who always thinks me meme and has to get everything first. You may be finding it difficult to have other people view you as something other than what they expected you to be. Nah! stop thinking that way and learn to move forward and to become a new person. Peoples who know you may be ''amazed'' that you're being selfless/stopped obsessing over yourself;
If you've met someone vvv selfish or perhaps have a friend who is too selfish and self-absorbed, make a time to talk with them. If your friend seems uninterested in your concerns, he/she may not see a need to change, and it's unlikely that he/she ever will. By that time you may consider to keep your distance from him/her. Good luck!
Sometimes people come into your life to serve some sort of purpose and teach you a lesson. They might affect your life in some way. And sometimes things happen to you at the time that may seem unacceptable and unfair, but in reflection soon you will realize that without overcoming those obstacles you would have never realized your strength. As I getting older I realized that the worst things in life will lead to the best things in life and everything will clear up eventually. Thank You Lord for all that's happened in my past. I'm more able to cope with depression. I think I'm a better person because of pain makes me stronger, tears make me braver, and heartbreak makes me wiser =,]
Every relationship gets boring and it will get boring after you've been together for years. It's always fun in the beginning. It's always exciting when you're getting to know each other. It's always thrilling to chase one another. Eventually, it gets hard. Eventually, it becomes difficult. Eventually, it drains you. That's when people tend to quit and go look for someone else because "the spark is gone" and they want to feel wanted and admired and loved again. But listen, that's not how it's supposed to be. No, that's not how it works. It doesn't have to be that way. Even when it does get boring, that's when you're supposed to remember why you're with that person in the first place and it's never too late to find that happiness that you both once found together because the truth is, it's always been there and it never left. Even when it feels like feelings are fading, that's when you're supposed to know how much this person means to you and what losing them would be like because being able to love someone even when they're being hard to love shows that your feelings never left. Even when it feels like you're done, that's when you're supposed to realize that no matter who you're with, it's always going to get "boring" so you might as well be with someone who's willing to love you unconditionally and never give up on you. - Teddy Nguyen
Indeed, relationship is all about ↑ ups and ↓ downs and it's a matter of choice. Whenever I feel like "the spark is gone", I will do everything to keep the ''fire burning''. Undeniable I will get bored sometimes but there are other things to consider before the love fades. Everyone will eventually get bored at the end if they stop making the effort. It's ALL ABOUT EFFORT!think about it! Not putting enough effort can kill a relationship. E.g : calling you to see how you're doing, trying to work thru problems and communicate clearly instead of just giving up/running away, bringing you food after a long day at work, planning dates and outings, occasionally doing things without being specifically asked...etc. Remember, effort is a HUGE part in making a relationship work.
Whether you grow a beard or not, how women perceive you is not up to you. *rolling eyes* There are women who love men with beard because bearded men showed more signs of macho behavior. But there are number of ladies that think beards are dirty. yes! D-I-R-T-YNo doubt that some guys look really awesome with beards, some don't. If his beard accentuates his face and well-groomed, then ok; if it looks like TUPAI then HELL NOOOO!!! I think it entirely depends on the person and their face, and ability to grow a beard. If you can't grow a nice beard, just accept your fate and shave that crap off. Sorry to say I'd rather have clean-shaven than nasty, overgrown beard boyfie. Everyone is entitled to their own views. Once a woman forms an opinion that beards are dirty, there is not much convincing you can do to change her mind. kthxbye!!
Once a man and his wife were taking a donkey to the market. As they were walking, some people saw them and remarked, ‘Look at these fools, why don’t they ride the donkey?’ The man heard this and asked his wife to ride the donkey while he walked alongside. A man seeing this remarked, ‘What is the world coming to? Look at that woman riding comfortably while he makes his poor husband walk!’ So the woman got down and this time the man rode the donkey. As they went along, another man passing by said, ‘Why don’t both of you get on the animal?’ So they listened to him and both rode on the animal. Yet another group who saw them said, ‘Oh! What a poor animal. It has to carry those two fat good-for-nothings! How cruel some people can be!’ By this time the man and woman were getting quite fed up. They decided to dismount and carry the donkey instead so as to stop everyone from talking. This led people to laugh and say, ‘look at these human “donkey” carrying a donkey’.
Moral Story: We cannot please everybody
You cant please everyone. They own their thoughts, reactions, and beliefs. We cannot live being obsessed with what other people think about us. So instead of feeling stressed and frustrated, just be yourself and welcome the peace and happiness that will come your way. =)
I look back on my life and think about things I wish I knew earlier. It would have made my life so much easier if I knew then what I know now. I wish I could turn back the hands of time to tell my younger self. ( I wish I hadn't wasted 4years+ on my miserable ex! ) I want an exciting and a fulfilling life with happy times, but I just don't know how it can happen unless I get confident and overcome my issues. Lately, I've been wondering, what if I went thru high school again but with the experience and personality I have today? I will study harder and make myself much neater. make more friends...I miss quite a few things from high school. I miss the freedom and sense of imaginative futures where I don't seem locked into a career path, pretending to listen to teachers, sneak out with friends after school, and look forward to school holidays. No debt, no bills, life was easy. Life now is all about the responsibility, work and becoming more and more stressful...
Please don't send me a friend request on Facebook unless we've actually had conversations before...
Facebook is mainly about developing relations, keeping your friend updates and communicating with them. In Facebook, friend requests play an important role, but at the same time they are delicate and can create problems. I receive 2-3 every week. They're either random people or spam. Complete strangers should always be ignored, unless there is a message along with the request explaining who they are. But there are several people you should not add friend because it might be invasive *sorry if I offended you* As Facebook is all about your personal life and photos, it turns into a stalk book for some. Facebook stalking has become very common and a serious issue these days. If there are no mutual friends, there is really no point. However, if there is a good reason for a stranger sending friend request, then you might take it into consideration. So, in the end it’s all up to you to decide whether those friend requests are really worth accepting or setting them aside would be a better idea =)
