I love to watch horror film because I love to be frightened. Sound strange but actually true =D I have been watching horror film since I was a kid.. Oh ya ehem ... I have watched the movie ''UNSPOKEN''. This is a low budget horror film from Canada, where 95% of the scene are captured in a house. The movie was produced by the Steven Schneider, he has only been producing films for 9 years but he has already racked up 39 credits, many of those on notable entries in the horror genre like ''PARANORMAL ACTIVITY'', ''INSIDIOUS'' and ''BLAIR WITCH''. I never ever missed any horror/thriller movies once the movies were released.
Well well well, the story line of the movie ( UNSPOKEN ) is about a family ( Anderson family ) has vanished from their home without a trace on year 1997. No bodies were ever found and the house has remained undisturbed until ... now ... year 2016 ... A single mother ( Jeanie ) with her son ( Adrian ) to move into the house and she hires a babysitter ( Angela ) to look after her son. And soon, Angela starts to experiences some spooky occurrences...
This movie was actually doing pretty well even it lacks of visual effect ( my opinion ). Trust me, the ending was unexpected!! To anyone wanting a lil more creepy, ''Unspoken'' might not satisfy you =X
I've just watched ''Inferno'' at City Mall and I never thought that this movie would be sooooo nice!!!! Idk why did the movie get so many negative reviews? It's a radically enjoyable thriller ar~ Well, Inferno is a 2013 mystery thriller novel by American author Dan Brown ( Err tbh I have never read his novel ). The movie's start is vv confusing me, where Professor Langdon ( character ) wakes up in a hospital with no idea how he came to be there, team up with Dr. Sienna Brooks to recover his memories. Among Langdon's belongings, Langdon and Sienna find a faraday pointer, which projects an image of the hell ( Dante's nine circles ). This is the first clue Langdon needs to decode and find the hidden message. Nah I'm a biggg fan ♥ of puzzle solving movies that can keep my eyes glued till the end and guess the hidden message of the movies.
This movie runs quite interesting until Sienna Brooks is revealing the true intentions. Watch the movie to figure WHY ^^ Apparently the story has a lot of intrigue, the visual effects of Dante's hell was amazing too. This movie has its own twists and deserves to be seen IF you are interested. =)
Actually I don't like Korean movies but since everyone is posting on Facebook about how heartfelt the ending is and even people who don't usually like thriler/zombie movies seem to like this movie. So ... I decided to watch it. The theater was vvv crowded. Luckily we were warned of the long lines and boyfie bought the tickets online. Most of the seats were already occupied. >_<
The movie starts with a father, Seok Woo, he is bringing his daughter Su An to visit his ex wife who lives in the port city of Busan by train. Before the train leaves Seoul station, a girl infected with a horrific virus jumps onto the train. She became frantic and began biting into the flesh of the passengers on train. So the story is about a couple of passengers struggle to survive on the train from Seoul to Busan. The movie shows how selfish a human can be. Not denying the fact that nowadays human beings have gotten more selfish... =(
Sang Hwa looked kind of badass and uncouth man but he's actually an uxorious and kindhearted man. He fights to protect his pregnant wife, Sung Kyung. However, he sacrificed himself to hold the door while others escape to safety.
Kim Eui Sung starred as the selfish transportation executive named Yong Suk. Everyone made sacrifices and died because of his selfishness.
The heartbreaking part is when Seok Woo tells Sung Kyung and Su An how to stop the engine at the end of the track as he sacrifices himself before he is transformed. This scene is definitely had us bawling inside the cinema.
The movie is more like the ups and downs of a roller coaster from beginning to end. But I think the story is progressing too fast and the ending seems incomplete. They should explain more about the infection. If you like zombie film don't miss this great movie. To those who haven't watched Train to Busan may judge the movie just a typical zombie film, BUT it is the story of relationships and interactions that rises above the horrific carnage. *P/S : Just make sure you bring a lot of tissue.
A creature that only appears when the lights go out...
Valak is out, and now it's Diana! LOL ''Lights Out'' is a horror film that is based on a 3 minute 2013 short film and both were directed by David F. Sandberg. Produced by the the one who is the big name in horror industry right now, James Wan. The movie is pretty much like ''Babadook'' in which the storylines is between monstrosity and mental illness. If you seen the trailer, then you get the tone of the movie. It's rated "PG-13" for terror, violence, disturbing images and drug content and has a running time of 1 hour & 21 minutes. Some scenes are too scary. Just push back your seat and ready to get frightened when lights went out. XD
Synopsis:

Growing up, she was never really sure of what was and wasn't real when the lights went out...and now her little brother, Martin, is experiencing the same unexplained and terrifying events that had once tested her sanity and threatened her safety. Some of their backstories are kind of told, but kinda rushed and forced in in some cases. Speaking of Diana, she is creepy tho but the movie didn't have the creative twists that I enjoyed from movies like ''Insidious'', ''Case 39'' and ''The Conjuring''. I'm a huge horror buff and fairly difficult person to frighten because I have been watching scary movies for years. So this movie not as good as I expected but overall it was ok. Would rate it 3 out of 5 stars =)

Watched The Conjuring 2 last night. I was wondering how good it would be after the first one. Tbh The Conjuring 2 isn't quite as good as The Conjuring 1 but it's still pretty great. The Conjuring was one of my favorites in recent years. One of my fav things about these films is James Wan's directional style. Some people can't get enough of scary movies. They've seen tons of scary films. Yeah that's me =D What makes a scary movie scarier is knowing that it is based on a true story. Knowing that somebody actually went thru the terror in reality is something that does not let one sleep easily. The Conjuring 2 is based on a true story of the Enfield haunting.

A 65y/o man died in a cinema auditorium last week while watching The Conjuring 2. The incident occurred at the Sri Balasubramaniar Cinema in Tiruvannamalai, a town in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The man complained of chest pains during the film’s climax, and fainted shortly afterwards. He was rushed to the nearby Old Government Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead. Medics ordered his body to be sent to the Tiruvannamalai Government Medical College Hospital for post-mortem but, according to the Times of India, the cadaver, and the person charged with transporting it, have both gone missing. While there are no doubt rational explanations for both the man’s death and the disappearance of his body, the story has fuelled a wave of supernatural panic on social media that has accompanied the film’s release.

About a week ago, Singaporean couple Damian Ng and his girlfriend claimed that they had horrifying experience during their trip to Miri, Sarawak after watching The Conjuring 2. The couple had just returned from their movie, and retreated to their room in the Imperial Hotel at 230am. Feeling exhausted after a whole night out and they decided to take a quick nap. Damian’s girlfriend woke up 15 minutes later to brush her teeth, and noticed something really strange in the washroom – a cross drawn on the bathroom mirror. Thinking that this is a prank by her boyfriend, she woke him up to ask him about it. They noticed something amiss when Damian had know knowledge about it, and assumed that she saw the one pranking him. Things got really strange when they went back into the bathroom and saw something horrifying. The cross that was on the mirror was fresher than it was previously, with water droplets flowing down one side, as if just done moments ago. Realising that this is no prank and now terrified, they quickly called the hotel up to change their rooms. In his Facebook post, Damain gave his thanks to the hotel staff, who were kind enough to assist despite the late hour.
The movie plot:
The film begins with paranormal investigators EdandLorraine Warren documenting the Amityville murders at the Amityville house in 1976, to determine if a demonic presence was truly responsible for Ronald DeFeo Jr. mass murdering his family on November 13, 1974. During a seance, Lorraine is drawn into a vision where she relives the murders and discovers a demonic nun figure, before seeing Ed being fatally impaled. After a struggle, Ed is able to break her out of the vision.
One year later, in 1977, the Hodgson family begins to discover strange occurrences within their home in London, England. Janet, the second oldest of four children, is seen sleepwalking and conversing in her dreams with an entity who insists that the house is his. Eventually, all siblings of the house and their mother Peggy witness paranormal events occurring right before their eyes, forcing them to seek refuge with their neighbors. When the media attempts to interview the Hodgsons, Janet is possessed by the spirit of Bill Wilkins, an older man who previously lived and died in the house, and who wants to claim his territory. As Janet begins to show more signs of demonic possession, the story eventually reaches the Warrens, who are requested to assist the local Church in the investigation. Lorraine, in fear of her vision of Ed's death becoming reality, warns him not to get too involved in the case, and reluctantly agrees to travel to London.
While staying at the Hodgson residence, Ed and Lorraine consult with other paranormal investigators, including Maurice Grosse and Anita Gregory, on the legitimacy of the case. They also attempt to communicate with Wilkins' spirit, hoping to talk him out of harassing the family. One night, after the Hodgsons witness Janet being possessed, Gregory presents video evidence of Janet purposely wrecking the kitchen as if for a prank. Ed and Lorraine are then convinced to leave the family on their own, but soon they discover that the spirit of Wilkins is only a pawn, being manipulated to haunt Janet, while the true mastermind is the demonic spirit that has been haunting Lorraine in her visions.
Ed and Lorraine return to the Hodgson residence, only to find Janet being possessed once more and the rest of the Hodgsons locked outside the house. A lightning strike hits a tree near the house, leaving a jagged stump resembling the object that impaled Ed in Lorraine's vision. Ed ventures inside the house alone, and finds Janet standing near the window, ready to leap onto the stump and commit suicide. He manages to grab Janet in time, but finds himself holding onto a curtain that is being torn from its rings by his and Janet's weight. Lorraine remembers that she wrote the demon's name – Valak – in her Bible during her Amityville vision. She enters the house and confronts Valak, addressing it by name and successfully condemning it back to Hell. Janet is freed of her possession, and Lorraine pulls her and Ed to safety.
A text epilogue reveals that Peggy lived the rest of her life in that house and died in 2003, sitting in the same chair in which Wilkins had died 40 years earlier. Upon returning home, Ed adds an item to his and Lorraine's collection – "The Crooked Man" zoetrope toy owned by Peggy's youngest child – placing it near April's music box and the Annabelle doll. The couple then dance to "Can't Help Falling in Love" by Elvis Presley.
P/S. Last night I couldn’t sleep for hearing about the strange noises....
New house, happy family and...an old camera? We can see ghosts thru it....and this time, they're in 3D!!! people are more afraid of what they can't see then what they can see, seeing a child being pulled up by an invisible entity or doors slamming shut by themselves is a lot more frightening than a big black substance flying towards the camera which is how the demon (Toby) is represented in this film. I've seen all of these films in theaters and sorry to say this is the worst ... not comparable with the earlier version. =X
